There are huge amounts of snow falling over the Alps this week which is great news as this will be an excellent base for the season. With snow falling from 600 metres the web cams are looking fantastic and are getting us all thinking about our ski holidays!

Fresh Snow in Scotland

Would you believe it but there was a proper fall of snow over the Scottish hills yesterday. Walkers had to wrap up warm and get their cosy boots on for a trek in the Highlands through the snow. Check out the full report from the Daily Mail

Maybe now is the time to get that early deal on the season pass for Cairngorm after all.

In the mean time, the Tignes glacier has opened for the winter skiing and boarding and the other resorts in Europe are beginning to get themselves ready. There have been plenty of improvements throughout the resorts with chairlifts being replaced or maintained and in the chalets the final work is being carried out before the snow and cold settles in.
